Isle Education Trust
CEO's message
As we rapidly head to the end of term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents, staff and students for their support this year. As a Trust we are working hard to make sure that all of our children, as well as engaging in excellent lessons and making great progress, also have opportunities to develop in the fullest sense. The festive season affords many such opportunities, from carol concerts, to hosting community parties for senior residents, and trips to the pantomime. I hope that your child has enjoyed making these special memories with us and will remember them for a long time to come. How ever you spend your time over this holiday period, I hope it includes making memories, carrying on existing traditions, and even starting new ones. We sometimes forget that memories will last longer than any gift we can give.
Have a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year

Epworth Primary Academy
Principal's Welcome
Sean Woolley, Principal
As time has flown this term, we have seen 15 weeks in the academy flash before our eyes. The children and staff have experienced so much during this period and continue to be amazing both in and out of the academy.
The term got off to a strong start, with the children producing their own portraits to be framed to become a celebrated artist. These looked amazing around the academy and sold well at the Christmas Fayre. They will make great additions to family walls and the children will look back with fond memories of them in years to come.
The Arts in general play a huge part in our curriculum ; children in Beech and Willow are learning to play the Ocarina and Year 6 the Ukelele, and a Samba band, as well as 5 other instruments available for them to learn. There isn’t a day that goes by without music coming from at least one classroom across the school. This culminates with a week where children have taken part in a range of performances in and out of the academy. This will continue next term, as a group of children are going to Young voices just after Christmas.
Again children across the academy have had a wide range of trips and visits available to them, representing EPA brilliantly wherever they go. This term alone various groups have met several authors (both in and out of school), been to the theatre to watch Stickman, attended the England women’s T20 cricket, Men’s Disability Cricket and the Davis Cup, visited the Ballet to watch Swan Lake, seen live motor racing, attended the Horse of the Year show, met athletes at the World Trampoline championships and worked with a number of local visitors. In Year 6 pupils went to he National Holocaust centre to learn about how Jews were treated during World War 2. Life in school is busy to say the least!
Looking forward to next year we have a number of new ventures including fielding both a boy’s and girl’s football team (something we have not done for many years) and there are even more trips and visitors planned. On Friday 9th February 2024 we will be holding our 2nd careers day for children. If you are able to give up some time to come into the Academy to talk about your career/job with the children you will be very welcome. Please let us know if this is something you can help with.
It is also important that I take this opportunity to say a huge thank-you to the PTFA who work hard to put on events and raise monies to help add to the curriculum experiences at EPA. Their work is very much appreciated.
Finally, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. EPA has grown in numbers, stature and reputation over the past few years. This has culminated in our first published data since I became Principal at the academy, which you can find HERE. You can last year's fantastic outcomes as well as compare us with other schools. We are all very proud of this.
It just leaves me to wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Sean Woolley

Please read this very important information
We have a number of children in school who have very severe nut allergys (peanuts/hazelnuts/almonds). As their allergy is from ingestion and touch we endeavour to remove all nuts in school.
To support the health and wellbeing of all children, please do not allow your child to bring any nut-based products into school.
Thank you for your co-operation in this very serious matter.
