Epworth Primary Academy was officially opened on 15 July, 1982. It caters for the whole of the primary age range, from four to eleven years. As the only Primary school in Epworth the whole of the village is our catchment area, although some children from villages around Epworth also attend the school. From September 2012 the school gained Academy status. In October 2014 Epworth Primary Academy became part of Isle Education Trust (IET) which is a multi academy trust.
The school is located centrally in the historic village of Epworth, home of the Wesley's, in the County of North Lincolnshire. It is situated three miles from the M180: thirteen miles from Scunthorpe: fifteen miles from Doncaster and thirteen miles from Gainsborough. It enjoys an attractive position providing great potential for environmental work.
The school building is situated in pleasant grounds with ample playing field facilities. It has a main hall, which is also used for a dining room. There is a well stocked library and an ICT suite. There is an interactive whiteboard and projector in each class throughout the school.
Recent years have seen rapid developments at the Academy with building alterations to improve the learning environment and improvements in the playground to encourage more active play. We were delighted to open our own nursery in June 2016. Please contact the school for more information.
