There is a daily act of collective worship in school. This is organised in various ways: on a whole school, part school or individual class basis. Assemblies are broadly Christian in character but do not follow any particular denomination, although local clergy regularly take Assemblies.
Assemblies are important occasions for the whole school community to come together. On Thursday we have a Special Mention Assembly when we celebrate the achievements of the children. Special work is shown, Merit awards given out and certificates are awarded for special achievements.
As with Religious Education, parents have the right to request their child is withdrawn from taking part in Assemblies. Any requests need to be in writing to the Principal.
